I've been trying to delete friends on facebook,But i've tried every thing! (NOTE:it is 2012)

To unfriend someone:
Go to that person's profile (timeline)
Hover over the Friends box at the top of their profile (timeline)
Click Unfriend
Note: If you choose to unfriend someone, you will be removed from that person's friends list as well. If you want to be friends with this person again, you'll need to send a new friend request.
I got this from facebook help page, I haven't got timeline myself but I hope that helps,lol.

select the name and delete .

Go to the friends page whom u want to delete then,you will see this options Friends,Subscribe,etc..
Then click friends from those options after u select friend few options pop up then select unfriend from those options that's it he wont be in your in friend list anymore
