No internet access with my netgear wireless router on my laptop? - girish - 02-26-2014 01:01 PM

I ve a dell inspiron N4010 laptop and a netgear wireless router connected to a modem,i can connect my phone and ipod to the router and access the internet but i cannot do it with my laptop.
I can connect my laptop to the router but there is no internet access,
I ve downloaded the Intel centrino N1000 wireless driver. While installing it shows the following message "an error occured while unzipping.one or more files were not successfully unzipped.the error code is 110".I restored the system to a previous working point it did not help.
I could access internet a week ago on my laptop as well but not anymore,Has my wirless card been damaged?

Hi Girish,

I am Kaveri from the Dell Social Media Outreach team.

You can update the latest network driver from the Dell support website. Please find the link below for the same.

Link:- http://dell.to/1ftj0Bn

1) Enter the Service Tag and press submit button. ( You can find the service tag at the bottom of the laptop on white sticker, it’s a seven digit alphanumeric code which ends with BS or number 1.)
2) Click on Drivers and Downloads.
3) Choose the Operating system.
4) Click drivers and download. Select Wireless driver and download it.

To install the driver, kindly follow this path. Go to My computer => C Drive => Dell => Driver => Double click on the network file downloaded and click on the INST file and restart the system.

In case of any further assistance Please feel free to contact me directly by sending a reply to this blog.
We would recommend you do not post your private information on a public forum.

Thanks & Regards
