I am bilingual. I have a Bachelor's degree in social science. I am good with computers. I have experience working with confidential matters. I enjoy writing. I think I am a good communicator.
I would like to stay home with my children but I still need some income. One of my friends does marketing/promotional stuff from home. I think I could do this, or something similar. I need ideas. How do I get started? Where do I look for more information?

If you don't mind it not being related your degree directly there are alot of things you can do. You should check into freelancer.com or odesk.com and make a nice profile, you can list that you have a degree and and your good at writing. On there you will find jobs related to writing blog posts, proofreading, even transcription type work
If you enjoy sales, you can sell marketing or promotional items to local businesses, one field that is really taking off is sms marketing, business especially restaurants are eager to sign up for these types of services, search for boostcontact.com, or even search for local mobile monopoly, then if you build up client bases you can sell other related social marketing services.
And being bilingial should double your opportunities, you may even find translation services needed on those freelance sites.
