Tumblr is a social media website that I know of and I don't have one so I can't answer your second question. I have completely "unconnected" myself from all social media currently and I couldn't be happier right now.

Tumblr a blog website , where we can share all information, pictures, videos and other stuff online. We can create our own blog also.

You can share whatever you want, from fandoms to recipes to sherlock. Its great and i love it. You will get addicted though.
