Can I sue someone for stealing and posting my pic w/o permission & bashing me on Facebook? - Smallfrie3131 - 02-28-2014 04:19 AM

My Ex's Ex has taken a picture of me and my ex off his Facebook page that I previously tagged him in and created a fake Facebook page inviting our friends to befriend the fake page so she can bash us. She has stolen the picture from his page, posted the picture of me and my ex that I tagged him in on the fake page and she is completely bashing both me and him. Can I bring a lawsuit against her?

Report the page to FB

Only if what the person is saying is wrong. You can ask Facebook to remove the page even if the statements are true, but if they are incorrect, you can sue for libel.

You can only file a lawsuit if you can prove that you've suffered some kind of loss, that you've been "harmed" in some way that the court can unravel and make right. The courts can't help you with social problems. Report the page too FB.

You can sue anybody anytime, but first you would have to find a attorney who would do it,even then a judge can throw it out on the first day.I would just report it to facebook and be done with it.
