Would this be a good apprenticeship? - YorkshireLAD - 02-28-2014 04:50 PM

I'm looking at applying for a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship but wanted another opinion on whether this would be a good way for me to get into marketing and whether the qualifications that I will receive for this apprenticeship are good.

The qualifications are:
•Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Social Media and Digital Marketing
•Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA - Web Development Fundamentals)
•Level 2 Functional Skills (Literacy, Numeracy and ICT)
Optional additional qualifications:
•Social Media Security Professional
•Microsoft Office Specialist (in either Excel, Word, PowerPoint or Outlook)

They are all pretty basic qualifications and you will be up against people with degrees when you want a permanent job.
The level 2 Functional skills can be taken in primary school, they are so easy, and the Office specialist you can learn yourself on your computer.
At the end of the day it is up to you. Why don't you talk to recruitment agencies and ask what employers require for marketing jobs.
