Latest update sucks it will take a wile to fix just like the previous update. They messed it up so bad. Thats mostly everytime they come out with an update. Do not allow auto updates and when there is one. Read the user comments in the market about the app and of your satisfied with the comments then hit update.

Facebook is lazy as hell. I would venture to say they have idiots in their android development department. Or most likely they don't even have a team working on one anymore. They probably got fired because they made a disgrace of an app.

There is an option to allow the application updated itself automatically. Did you mark in the box?
