Is it "tacky" to advertise via your Facebook status? - Hippie Tree Hugger - 03-02-2014 06:39 AM

Say a person has a business and is running a special, or someone's selling a car (or a washing machine, clothes, or whatever). Do you think it's tacky/poor etiquette for someone to advertise it on their Facebook status assuming most of the people that will be reading it are friends? Or do you think it's appropriate?

Just curious what you think as my hubby and I were having a conversation about this. At this point I don't feel strong one way or the other. I'm wondering what you all think.

it is ok so long as nobody reports it as an advert,
if they do you could get banned from facebook for life.

It is alright if you wanted to advertise through your status but others are doing it through photos and tagging all their friends on a photo that shows their advertisement. I hope that this could brighten up an idea for you.
