Facebook Hide Friends Help..? - Nixon1987 - 03-03-2014 01:33 AM

Hey,

I recently had a BAD arguent with an old friend, and i deleted them on facebook, only thing is, i am aware they keep checking my friends list on there through 'search'.

I've gone to the privacy part of Facebook, and unchecked view friends option in searches, but whenever i hit save settings after unchecking, the tick re-appears and people can still see my friends via search.
Is this a temporary facebook glitch or permanent?
Thanks
EDIT :
Thanks for the advice, but my profile is already set to private, so only friends can view it and my friends once on my profile. I just want people searching for me to not be able to view my friends list (I had it set previously but then took it off - to be honest it's frustrating me more than anything at the moment!! lol)

Iam over 18 and so obviously, people can see me in a public search listing.
Very grateful for your response though :]

I appear to have this problem as well, however as I am under 16 I do not have a public search listing (Facebook will not show under-16s in search results.)

You can, however, stop them from viewing anything to do with you, by blocking them from the main Facebook Privacy page at http://www.facebook.com/privacy/?view=summary (enter their name into the Person box and click Block).

EDIT: I have discovered you can also hide your Friends from people by clicking Settings > Privacy Settings, then Profile (or going to http://www.facebook.com/privacy/?view=profile ), and in the Friends listbox, choose "Customise...". Under "Except these people..." type the name of the person you don't want to be able to see your Friends.

If they're not on your Friends List, choose "None Of My Networks" from the listbox above, and they won't be able to see your Friends List if they're in the same network as you either.
