What is a good deal/promotion to do for a new tattoo shop? - Sammy - 10-15-2012 07:44 PM

I am currently working for the owner of a new tattoo shop (the owner is also my aunt). We're doing okay, but not necessarily great. The location of the shop is right by a highway, the the traffic is good but for some reason, we don't have that many people with us yet. We're also on Yelp, Facebook, Yellow Pages, Bing Businesses, Craigslist, and Google Business so that people know we exist. What are some deals/promotions that I can suggest to the owner to promote our business? We've been talking about an October/Halloween special but are not sure what to do for it. For the month of September we had a special "Get any $120+ tattoo and get a piercing for you or a friend for free (excluding dermals & genitals)". That went okay, but again maybe only 2-4 people used the promotion & they were regulars so we didn't really gain any new customers. I always post the promotions/deals to Facebook, Craigslist, as well as sending out mass e-mails to previous customers. Is there some other promotion/deal that I can suggest to the owner that may help draw in more traffic/customers?
P.S. Please don't give me stupid answers like "did you really use 'genitals' in an advertisement?" Yes we did b/c genitals is the most proper use of language for that specific deal. IT IS A TATTOO SHOP WE PIERCE GENITALS GET OVER IT! For that specific advertisement that is now OVER we had to post what we excluded or else it would be considered as false advertisement. So get over it please. If you don't like our form of vocabulary then don't do anything having to do with a tattoo/piercing parlor. Jesus fucking christ people? I'm asking for advice on a FUTURE promotion/deal so do not post shit on here about our EXPIRED advertisement. If you're going to be stupid & not read the full thing & what I need help with then don't even bother commenting. Go on your merry fucking way please.

Did you really use the word genitals in an advertisement?
