Prime advertising space that billions of people see every single second - the little adds on the right side of the screen all cost the advertisers money....

Facebook makes money by allowing advertisers to buy ads on Facebook. Also by selling members personal data to 3rd party's but that's just a rumour and my personal opinion protected by the constitution or whatever

Advertising. When you use Facebook, you are providing so much information about yourself, your interests - you're a targeted marketers dream. Go ahead, click "Like" on a movie, or a tourist destination, or a car - yes, you're telling your friends that you think something is neat, but you're also filling out a survey for all of Facebook's advertising partners. With that kind of goldmine of customer information in hand, Zuckerberg can charge nice fees for each and every little advertisement you see in the margins of your Facebook page.

With all of those ads that show up anytime your on facebook. Businesses pay facebook to advertise on their site since so many people use it

Think people have commented about apps but also GAME as well<<<every click u do on the games ur doin a surveys...so the games pay FB and the surveys pay the games Also the games sell things...like zynga poker>>its a indian run site they sell chips...they made 45M last year with there Apps & selling chips & FB gets cut of tht also....its big money as to many people chat, play, clips, ect BIG MONEY.
