Looking for an Android app that lets me send text messages for free? - Mistes - 03-04-2014 05:40 PM

So I recently got a Samsung Tracfone Smartphone (It's a prepaid service where you pay for minutes, data, and texting) and can only send the amount of texts that equals the minutes I buy (ex. 500 minutes = 500 texts, 500 calling minutes, and 500 mb data).

I'm looking for an application that can send these messages for free, since I will be sending far more than 500 texts in one school year (the average time frame I refill my prepaid minutes in). Any and all help is appreciated!

I know they are out there, I just don't know what they are called!

Viber! It will let you send free messages to all viber users and even let you make you free call to all viber users......

WhatsApp is one of many ways of communication. It's an IM (instant messaging) app, where you can send texts to the people on your contact list (if they have downloaded the WhatsApp application). It only works via a WiFI or data connection.

Viber: only works via a WiFi or data connection as well. It is a mobile app. Kind of like Skype. You can call for free, send texts, and video record - using both front and back-facing cameras.

Facebook Messenger hench the name "Messenger" is only texts to your Friends' list on FB. It is a seperate and quicker way of communication rather than having to log-in to the whole FB app.

Sorry, that's all I could think of - have a great weekend Smile
