Can a Smart TV be connected to a Free Sat box? - Barbara - 03-04-2014 07:50 PM I am thinking of buying a Smart TV as I need to replace the TV I have. Can a Smart TV be connected to a Free Sat box, as i have a Satellite Dish and or tuned in to it? Also, What sort of things can a Smart TV get from the Internet? Can it get emails, as the Wide web as well? - shadi - 03-04-2014 07:56 PM Yes it can, I have the samsung smart tv (8 series) and it's connected to a free sat box. You can connect it just like any other tv. - Gerry Attrick. - 03-04-2014 08:08 PM Yes; there are various connection points, as on all TV's. Modern TV's only have 1 scart connection point, (if any) so you may need to adapt to your needs. Internet use is no way comparable to a PC. Youtube/Facebook/BBC iPlayer and many other apps plus email, web searching are available. Navigating around is a bit laboured. - J M - 03-04-2014 08:24 PM Yes you can use a Freesat box ,though you will need a dish of course. Smart ability varies from set to set. |
