I don't think it's possible.
They should improve the facebook notifications than. Someone contact facebook.

Yes, it's possible. I don't think FB limit it by days, it's more by how many notifications.
If you think, someone has to contact FB to suggest that, why don't you do that?
You actually can find what you comment/post that somebody later comment on (thus appear in your notification) from your Activity Log.
