What does poke mean on Facebook? - Rachel - 03-07-2014 12:33 AM

If you go to more there is poke it will ask yes or no if you click someone's profile.so what does it mean?

Honestly doesn't mean anything. A poke on facebook is like you would poke someone you could see, it's just kinda like a "hey" type of thing. You poke them, they can poke back, it annoys some people so I would not really abuse it.

You send them a poke. It sends them a notification saying "Ryan poked you!" and gives you the option to "poke back"

Do it, its fun. I've got quite a few poke wars going on with a few people

It's not really anything to be honest. When someone pokes you you get sent a notification saying "(Example) poked you". There's not really a point to it it's just to pass time.

1.A “poke” is basically someone trying to get your attentionIt’s one of the meaningless features that are used just to annoy someone.
2.If you poke someone not in your network and they poke back. You can view their profile even if your not their friend!
3.A poke is when you allow someone to see your facebook page for 3 days, so they can know who you are and hopefully add you as a friend.

I think, Poke is an event on facebook. poke is no big issue on facebook. If anybody uses this action so that he could alert that person.
