how do i market the belly dancing community on the internet, i just started a website, http://www.BellyScarf.com and did the facebok twitter thing, any other suggestions?

Well, first you might want to go the somewhat old fashioned route and start listing your link (and possibly doing link exchanges) with bellydance sites, especially the high traffic ones like http://www.bhuz.com or something similar. The hardest thing is going to be getting enough people interested in looking at the site. For your ads make sure you have eye catching graphics even if you need to pay for a model, photo shoot, and graphic artist. If there are local bellydance classes near your business you may want to make up flyers and ask instructors if they would be willing to let you leave some or post them on their bulletin boards. You could also try and set up small showings with classes where you bring in a bunch of your products and set up before or after a class so that dancers can buy right there, get store information, and check out the quality of the products in person. This isn't exactly an internet only sort of thing but it will probably drum up a lot more business in the end and will help create word-of-mouth advertising.
