there are not exactly any true safe sites

there are places like chatango were you can home into people in your area etc

Well, it depends on how different you want. Right now there is instagram.Very popular among the teens. You upload pictures for updates rather than write ones. Other than that tho, I couldn't really point you in a direction you may want. Sorry, and hope you find your answer!

As with anything on line, nothing is completely "safe" for anyone because you never really know who is behind the keyboard.

As for Instagram...yes, it's very popular, but it's not really that safe. Any pictures that you post can potentially be sold and used for advertisements. (See article below)
