Is the "Facebook is Becoming Too Overpopulated" Message true? - Alaina - 03-07-2014 08:51 PM

I got a message on Facebook from one of my friends saying that Facebook is becoming too overpopulated and if you don't copy and paste it then send it to 15 people, then that will show that your not active and your account will be deleted without hesitation. It also says that the message is from the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. I know that there have been scams on Facebook before, so I'm not sure if this is true or not. I don't want to forward a scam message, but I don't want to get my account deleted. Please help me! I'm so confused! Is the message true or not?

Nope!! I got that message three months ago and I didn't send it on and I still have my Facebook account and its exactly the same. Its just like a chain email.

SCAM - that is not from Mark Zuckerberg. It's spammers wanting you to forward so they can gather as many names as possible for future spam

Facebook would NEVER ask you to spam your friends

And think about it - Facebook's ad rates are based on their number of users. They do not want to delete ANY accounts - they want even more people to sign up because that means they make more money selling ads
