So I am a semifinalist for TJ and this Saturday is the 2nd round. I need some advice on the SIS sheet and the essay part, how am I supposed to do really well on the essay. On the SIS sheet how am I supposed to show that I am interested in going to TJ? Thanks!

okay so this is not exactly the best place to be asking this - try the tjhsst class of 2018 page on facebook (if you have one, if you don't you should really make one because a ton of tj info is on facebook)
to be honest tj is super overrated now and the overall quality of the school has gone down so much (as so i've heard) in the past 5-ish years
a lot of the older teachers are retiring now and they're being replaced by inexperienced, new teachers who cannot teach. ;_;
plus you have to put in so much work and effort just to get a B in certain classes when if you put a third of the same amount of work at your base school you'd be getting straight 100s
there's so much more involved too...
ok if you still want to go:
1. don't lie on the SIS. tj has had rampant cheating problems and the integrity of many of the students is.... iffy. like if you have to lie to get here then there's a problem. the admissions people will know too. like one of my friends wrote that her family friend died in a forest fire last year and obviously she didn't get in when she probably would have gotten in otherwise.
2. have a good night's sleep, eat breakfast, etc.
3. practice writing for at least 30 minutes every day from now to the SIS
4. check the tj admissions website for more tips
