Can facebook access my google search terms? - H - 03-10-2014 06:27 AM

Some of the advertisements on the side of my facebook (those ones which are targeted specifically to me) seem to be linked to things I've searched online, but I've wracked my brain and I can't think of any time that I've mentioned on facebook. Do they know what I've searched online?

The advertisements access your browser's cookies, which tell them exactly what you've been doing.

The ads they put up are not a coincidence.

If there is an application that you let FB access then yes. Otherwise they aren't allowed to.

Facebook has no privacy whatsoever. Your information is sold, your online habits are monitored. Its a joke.
Recently they found that facebook DOES monitor what you do outside of it, by using cookies. In order to prevent this, log out then clear your cookies before logging into facebook.
