Is there a way to get yourself off newsle.com? - john - 03-10-2014 07:49 AM

I looked myself up on google and this newsle.com site shows on the search results. I don't know how they got some of my information and I don't want everyone to see it. Is there a way to get rid of it or anything?

I think Newsle.com is a predatory website. I am seriously concerned about this website. I think they are some kind of scam company posing as a search engine. I tried to figure out who they were also and why they claimed to have any information about me. None of the articles they posted had anything to do with my academic, professional, or personal life. These people are creepy. They got my picture, and all of my personal information from my facebook profile page, without my consent (even though my settings are set to Private).

You can write them a letter to their DBA address in California:

Mr. Axel Hansen
Newsle, Inc.
1740 Washington St., Suite 204
San Fransisco, CA 949109

You can find more information on them from the State of California's public business records. You can also file a complaint about them with the same state. Make sure that you send your letter by certified mail, and keep all records of communication with them.
