The red dot on the facebook app on my homescreen on my iphone shows how many messages i have but, I want it to show notifications. How do i change that?
It showed my notifications on it when I first got it but after i looked in my inbox it always showed my messages.

Can't do that.. but feel free to recommend that option to the facebook staff.
