I think I remember once facebook said the person will be notified or something, or they can tell when they scroll over the privacy icon next to the date (right above the status)? please don't judge haha but I kinda just want to send a subliminal message to someone

yup your status will be visible to him . he will find it with thousands of his posts in news feed.
no notification will be sent to him untill if he adds you as a close friend .
