I don't seem to find a way to do that. I already when through Facebook help information but it doesn't say anything about changing the person you listed as the spouse or how to manage this piece of information.
It just seems to me that the name of my spouse is too much information for "everyone" to see. But I want to appear married in my public profile so I won't receive anymore "friends of friends" Facebook messages/requests of guys hitting on me.
Is it possible that Facebook really doesn't have this option?
I'll really appreciate the help. I'll give stars too

Stop cheating on your husband, or just set up a new FB account.

You can change it to married without putting in a name...that's how my profile has been forever.
Can't wait to change it to single though...

My facebook profile shows I'm married but that's all, his name is not on there. Just leave the rest of the options blank.
