Keep receiving facebook events push notifications on iphone even with feature off? - 825 - 03-14-2014 01:59 AM

I just updated to IOS5.0.1 (not jail broken or anything) and in the facebook settings I put the event push notifications off.

Nevertheless, I'm receiving events push notifications. As I got a lot of friends who work with events, Its becoming really annoying to receive notifications every 10 to15 minutes throughout (I got more than 2k friends who work with events). I know that I can block them to send me invites from the facebook site itself, but I would rather not...

The ones that I have on are: Messages, Wall Posts, Friends Requests, Friend Confirmations, Photo Tags and Place Tags. As for right now, I'm trying each one on and off to see if these affects the event notifications - already tested photo tags and place tags, nothing chances on events notifications). But its weird anyway, as iphone has the events option specifically for that.
update: just tested friends confirmations and wall posts and keep receiving. And I rebooted the phone in each try.
