Sorry for not knowing, im not that into social media, other than google+ I dont really have any social life honestly. Just want to know more about it.

Snapchat is an app that allows users to take pictures and send them to someone (or a list of people).
The interesting thing about it which makes it so popular is that you can set a time limit on the picture, and after that your friends cannot view it any longer. If they try to screenshot it, you will be alerted.

Snapchat is an app that allows you to send people in your contacts (or someone that you know their username) photos that only last for a certain amount of time, generally 10 seconds is the max. Once these pictures are sent, not even the sender can view them again. In addition to the receiver whom was earlier stated. HOWEVER it is possible to take a screen shot of the photo while it is displayed on the screen thus allowing it to be viewed multiple times, just like a normal photo would on your phone.
I would say more people use this app as a quick means of sending a non too important to a friend or family member that could be silly, or a simple life update (i.e. "Look at this trophy i just got.") But once again in this modern age people are able to send "sexts" or naked photos of themselves via this app because it does not have a form of parental advisory settings.

it's like texting, but instead of words it's photos or videos. The good thing about snapchat app is that the receiver can only view it in a short amount of time eg: 6 seconds and it (video/photo) won't be saved

snapchat is the app that allows you to take "selfies" and send them to other people that you are following and also the people that are following you can also see them if you send those pic's to them.
