How do I *receive* SMS messages on my computer/server? - Parand - 09-30-2012 08:29 PM I'd like to allow people to interact with my site using SMS - they'd send an SMS message with a command to my number and my site would respond. Getting a short-code is quite expensive. I've tried the twitter API and that works fairly well, but users have to direct message me, which is a bit complicated. There seem to be lots of SMS gateways for sending messages, but not receiving. Are there any other alternatives that would allow me to have a simple number people can text to, and I'd end up with the messages accessible via an API to my server? - hk - 09-30-2012 08:37 PM i guess you have sprint or verizon, you just sign on your phones e-mail screen, and with options, have all messages forwarded to another account. *2 will get you to customer service w/o a fee regarding min. used |
