Its just a way to take and edit photos that you can then save or post to fb, twitter, tumblr

You get to pick different editing tools to edit your pictures and then you can post them on Instagram.. A lot of people like it because it's just pictures
People who like your photos will follow you and you are able to post the pictures from Instagram on Facebook or Twitter.
