I wanted to know if the random friends on your facebook profile are people who have recently viewed my facebook profile....

You can't view someone who is looking at your Facebook profile.

No...Random friends are usually people who are on either your friend's - friend list or friends of someone who's profile "you" have looked up. There are also things like networks, groups and schools that may toss a random name your way. To my knowledge there is no way of knowing who views, or attempts your facebook profile. There used to be a third party program for My Space but it only worked if that person had the service too.
