facebook profile viewing rules? - johnadams838383 - 03-17-2014 07:29 PM

what are the rules on viewing facebook profiles? I have made a account but do you have to be accepted by people in order to view their profiles?

You can only see their profile if they are your friend or if they are in your network (ie, same school, work force, or area like L.A.) but even if they are in your network they can still choose to set their profile to private.

It's based on personal privacy preference. Users can set all or specific parts of their profile information (such as contact or school information) so only their friends or people in their network can see it, or it can be hidden from everyone. Users can further choose to hide some information from some of their friends with a limited profile. But profiles are hidden to anyone who is not signed up for Facebook

Anyone who is in your network can see your profile unless they make it private whereas their friends are the only people that can see it. People you are not friends with or are not in your network you will not be able to view their profiles.
