should you put a portfolio on facebook? - confused - 03-18-2014 08:24 AM

As an interior design student, i currently made a senior portfolio. Would it be wise to make a facebook page that potential employers and friends can see?

maybe, you should make it private if you post it on facebook or if you want to see by other people click on the people who are involve in your portfolio and don't publish.

It would be wiser to build a website with your portfolio. You can have a page that links to your facebook page, group page, like page and whatever else facebook has. It is better to have a website because this shows professionalism.

A domain name will cost you $10 (GoDaddy, Google - yes they sell domain names - i buy through Google and they buy through various sites). Do not pay over $12 if you choose to private your whois information. $10 if u dont private your whois information.

You can make a website for free, or for a very cheap price. For a starting website, try staying free or spend at most $50. -Also avoid have sloppy advertisements around your website. The idea is to have a clean simple webpage with your portfolio and resume. When you apply for job, put your website on your resume.

Hope this helps.

It depends upon you if you want to be known and potential employers can see your portfolio, then put it. If you are afraid then it is actually your choice.
