the facebook app is free to download but my phone plan is only unlimited talk/text (no web). if i use it will it charge me extra? by the way i have T-mobile if it makes any difference

yes, if you access the web, they will charge you. if you want to use facebook, you could pay a monthly fee for a data plan (internet service)
