Atheists: If Dinosaurs predated humans, how do we know that they're called Dinosaurs? - Popadil (Colonel) - 03-19-2014 12:06 PM The fact that we know they're called Dinosaurs (plus their specific names like T-Rex and Brontosaurus) means we humans must have mingled with them. Thank you for your kind responses. - 407 - 03-19-2014 12:07 PM We read their tweets and hashtag names - Elegua! - 03-19-2014 12:22 PM Because the dinosaurs made excellent documentaries, many of which have been featured on Discovery channel & the like. - Brett - 03-19-2014 12:35 PM Woooooow... It's like your stupid or something. Um, in Russian what's the word for t-Rex? You don't know? How did you know jesus's name wasn't bob? Ass brain! - Justin - 03-19-2014 12:42 PM Could be because we named them. Some dinosaurs are still existing today, so indeed we have mingled with some. - SubZero - 03-19-2014 12:49 PM We made the name. It comes from Deinos and Sauros. Deinos means huge/terrible and sauros means lizard. I fail to see how it connects to Atheism and how humans are supposed to mingle with them, it makes no sense. - 058 - 03-19-2014 01:06 PM It is the name we assigned them - I highly doubt that they had names for themselves. - Bob Vila - 03-19-2014 01:11 PM The Illuminati traveled back in time and asked them what they are called. - Gaming Atheist - 03-19-2014 01:15 PM No, it means we named their fossils and organised them taxonomically into species. Humans name the things we see, as far as any human can reasonably assume, they had no names previously. - 190 - 03-19-2014 01:23 PM Congratulations. You've hit an entirely new low with that question. |
