Privacy on Facebook Profile? - Princess Consuella Bananahammock - 03-19-2014 04:13 PM

I did a search for a person and I can see their entire profile, even though I am not their friend. My husband did a search from his facebook account for the same person and he only sees their profile as private. Why is it that I can see this person's profile and my husband can't? As far as I can tell I am not in any group with this person nor friends with them.
I do not have any mutual friends with this person.

This is interesting. One option I can think one is that you and that person are in the same network. One of the privacy options is to hide your profile to everyone except to those from the same network as you.

I think Probably Because On Facebook you can set up a special privacy thing where you can block certain people, In this case I think maybe your Husband got Blocked from the Other Persons Account.

I agree with JJ...or do you have any mutual friends with the person and your husband doesn't? If thats the case, then the person might have their profile viewable to "Friends of Friends"

Thats the only thing I can think of besides what JJ said.

EDIT: If your husband was blocked from viewing the persons profile, then he wouldn't have been able to even find the person in a search.
