I'm watching the Today show this morning and they are doing a contest where you have to (# dan brown ) not too sure what that exactly means. Also you can watch the news and you see things like Someone wil be talking to someopne else on the Twit and they say something like ( @ someone # get over it ) this is all very confusing to me. Could someone give me the cliff notes on being a twit person

is like a reference code.
Every time you put the #, it's grouped with all the other people who referenced the same thing.

You use the hashtag symbol to mark / highlight certain keywords to make it easier for others to find your tweets.
