if you deactivate your facebook account will it delete any sent messages that were not read yet? or will the person still get the message that you sent?

Nope. When You deactivate your facebook account your account is deleted nothing else. and if the person wants to reply to message they can't

I'm not sure since I've never deactivate my account. However, I do know that everything remains the same, your friends, your read emails in your inbox. BUT if there were messages unread before the account was deactivated not sure how that works.

if you don't reactivate it all will disappear in 6 months? So they say. Fb are updating all there privacy setting, due to a bit of flack they are receiving?

If you deactivate your account, then your profile information still appears on Facebook.
