Im short on followers as you all can see and I wanted to know how can I get more followers on my twitter ??

It's pointless having a bunch of random followers... Followers should be people who know you and want to follow your life...
If you still want random useless followers, I suggest you use hashtags more often.. For example, I follow most people who use #MyUniversity so I meet people from my university...

Try that!Or other way is following people who have have same number of followers and following. They usually tend to follow back
