I have a blackberry curve 9300
Everytime I install facebook app and try to login, it says there is no available wifi connection
Is it necessary to have wifi to use it?

I have a BlackBerry and I use BIS I don't use wifi, maybe your network isn't working or something is not set right.

That is so weird! My curve 8530 doesn't have any problems with it, I don't need wifi. Though, I usually use the web browser to get on to Facebook because it seems a lot faster and easier. Maybe if you update your phone? Or try using it on wifi to see if it works at all? Good luck (:
