Ughh I go on my facebook page and see things like weird athletes or car shops I have 'liked'. It's so irritating because people will think I actually like those things and I have to 'unlike' pages all the time. How do I stop this?

It's not facebook itself it's just third-party websites that have hacked and gotten your password and is doing those things. Best thing to do is change your password to something stronger than what you have.
