What are the differences between a Facebook Page and Facebook Group? - Wendie - 10-15-2012 07:55 PM

Which one would be more beneficial to market a contest to a group of people?

Page is supposed to be an official fan page for artists, public figures, organizations, etc.

Group is just a place where people join supporting an idea, event, song, unofficial fans, etc. Facebook says that you need to be confirmed as the person whom the page will be about.

A group would be more beneficial, when it gets well-known you can make a page for it and tell members of the group to be fans of the page.

on a page, you are able to become a fan of something/someone but with a group u just join it! Now- a-days they are making a lot of useless pages though
