My old best friend hacked into my Yahoo and Facebook accounts and locked me out. Can I press charges? - Jessica - 03-24-2014 01:01 AM

A friend, whom claimed to think of me as a sister, got mad because I had to work and couldn't come out and see her. She said she needed to see me because she has been in her apartment with just her mother for over two weeks. I told her I couldn't call off because there was no one else to cover for me and beside it wasn't right. So after work that day i got online and found that she had hacked into both my yahoo and facebook accounts and changed the passwords so I couldn't get in. I called her mother only to get yelled at by her too. After several hours I managed to get her to give my accounts back to me, but she says her actions were justified. I told her they were not and I would not forgive her because I was tired of her games and she had lost my trust. She said well I'll just hack them again. If she does hack into my accounts again, even after I've changed everything. Can I press charges against her?

No, only a district attorney can. You can report this to police if you want for harassment.
