Should I delete my twitter? Are social networks a waste of time..? - Lex - 03-24-2014 10:08 AM

Im starting my junior year of highschool next month & have been think that ALL the time I spend on twitter is a waste. I have about 6,000 followers but what is that goint to do for me in the future? Nothing, being popular on twitter gets me no money, no real friends & no good job! So im thinking about deleting it and focusing on my real life, getting to know myself, studying hard and making good grades and meeting new people THEN maybe later on I will make a more person and private twitter account just for people I actually know to contact me. Right now with all my twitter followers, im not being myself. Im just trying to please my followers to get more & when I do that... I start confusing who I really am in real life. Maybe I should just be a normal teen and have fun, instead of chasing internet fame. Whatcha think?

Ofcourse more followers wont make you successful, But it's a good way to feel good about yourself.

and more followers can help you in many ways!

Like- I have 10k followers and when I ask a question to them they always reply, It's a good hobby to gain twitter followers Smile

You can advertise your website, blog etc using twitter or can talk to your favorite celebs or artists, I myself have talked to Justin bieber and Scooter Braun on twitter, It's cool Smile

If you measure everything with it's value in the future . nothing is worth anything, one day everyone dies :\

Just enjoy ! Smile

btw!! Follow me on twitter , I always follow back Big Grin

You don't have to completly shut the networks out of your life. You can limit yourself, where you can only get on a few hours a day, Or something like that =)
