Is America getting more Racist? - Atypical - 03-24-2014 10:09 AM
In the late 90's, it was great. It looked like people were finally adjusted to the fact that there are different looking people on earth. Then something happened. 2 towers where destroyed by supposed Muslims, and certain man was elected president.
Now more and more I am hearing and seeing racism on the Internet, Social Media, Xbox live and many places where one can remain anonymous; even social clicks in real life seem to be getting more and more separated by race. Is it just me?
Just from the answers from this question I can see people have an Axe to grind...

It most definitely is. Obama has caused the country to become more divided than ever. But, people make money on racism--Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, etc. His justice department was incredible when they did not arrest the black panthers for voter intimidation. The right to vote is probably the most important right that we have.

Only because the Democrats use race as a political tool. Always have since LBJ. He said they would. And there is no reason to.

If you listen to liberals, yes. Disagreeing with obama's policies will cause liberals to rain down the name "racist" on you.

As the United States becomes more diverse, people are forced to face their own prejudices. Social media is just one way that people can admit to their prejudices in an anonymous way, whereas there weren't many avenues to do that before. In conclusion, the United States only seems more racist whereas it is the same as it has always been only people are expressing it more.
