HOW DOES THE PRIVACY ON FACEBOOK WORKS ? - Cazza - 03-24-2014 10:21 AM

I am right now having trouble with privacy on facebook. I have set everything up on facebook to prevence some random person to check my profile. but somehow it didnt really work. for example when someone trying to add you , and asking first question to accept the "add", then it directly turns to pre-look-profile, which is the privacy setting doesnt work anymore. due to the message connection. so its like pre-accepted profile. you cant really see the whole activity on facebook profile but it shows still. so how does the privacy set up really works? to make totally block to people who doesnt really have the connection to us(facebook users).

thanks before.

If someone adds you or sends you a message, they DON'T have access to your profile. YOU have access to THEIR profile since they're the ones who sent the friend request, but they can't see anything about you.

In case you're wondering if you can change privacy settings for when YOU add people or send a message to a non-friend, nope, you can't do that anymore. Anytime you send a friend request or message someone, the other person will automatically have access to your Profile Pictures, Basic Info, Work/Education Info. They won't have access to your Wall or other apps though.
