In order to maximise the amount of sales that any one site has then the operators of that site need to take advantage of every marketing opportunity there is and right now social media is seen as one of the easiest and most cost effective ways of spreading the word. Social media is not necessarily essential to the success and survival of an ecommerce site but the extra marketing exposure certainly helps.

Ofcourse Ecommerce need the Social media promotion. Scoial media covered all over the world, millions of people are using it. so to create the good network social media is required.
i have seen the social media marketing from the "nichesuite" a specialized service having presence all over the social media's.
