I went to their website but only saw phone applications. What about my desktop? If not instagram, what is a good place to put up my pics that I want to share? I hear about the 'cloud' but I don't see much of it around!

Yes it is only for mobiles. Pintrest or picassa are the best for sharing pics from your desktop

If you have windows 8, you can now get most iOS and Android apps. Look it up on google.

yes because the phone is right now the most widely used mobile device right now in the 21st century and most people who use it are teens lol.
