can you create a facebook page for a company or does it have to be just a group?1

I have a couple pages in facebook. You can create it by going to the Ads and Pages section. Then click Create Page. It may ask for a scanned copy of your ID depending on the information you place.

If you have a company the best you can do is to create a page, because it will allow you to place advertisements later. Besides, with a page you will have fans of your business, which is better than having members.
