As a blogger/website owner it’s tough to find advertising for my site. I want to create a website that matches websites with space available and companies that would like to advertise. Very often, I see advertisements on websites that don’t make sense (ex. women's clothing on a sports website). We would match both parties based on profiles that they fill out that specifies their desired target markets, campaign budget, desired reach, etc. and match them like a dating site would. This saves time, money, and effort for both sides while increasing effectiveness of marketing for everyone. We could also provide marketing advice for an extra fee and this could eventually turn into a social media platform for businesses.
Does anyone think that this is a good idea? Does something like it already exist? Any relevant ideas?

Some ad networks like Google's Adsense matches ads to the text content of each page, or in some cases when an ad doesn't seem to match the content the space may be offered on a banner ad trading desk where in some case re-targeting ads are tailored to the current viewer of a page, based on their prior internet history, ecommerce sties that appear to be stalking someone has set a cookie in the visitor's browser which is used to trigger these re-targeting ads.
There are ad space broker sites like buyads.com, buysellads.com and blogads.com that assist you in doing direct banner space sales, in these case you have approval rights for each ad shown, so you can be sure they are relevant and suitable for your visitors. You typically need thousands of visitors a week to qualify for these ad brokers.

Online business can fetch you profits in many ways. But you have to know how to promote your business online as well. There are many ways to do it. Content marketing, digital marketing and generating leads are some of them. You have to make a proper online marketing plan for your business and take care of every probable steps to ensure you get maximum leads from your investment.

If you really feel that it would be a good idea, and people would want to use it, then go for it. If it does already exist, then you would be giving them competition. Before facebook became popular it was myspace.
