Basically will the format or language used change depending on who the audience is? For example an email would be written more formally if its going outside the company because it portrays a proffessional business image, so how will these methods change thanks x

Yes they differ, as you suggest.
For instance a ppt presentation should be tailored to that audience not just a generic ppt.
