I find that a good way to get coupon offers is to sign up on the restaurant's website or even check their Facebook or Twitter feeds. If you sign up, you may be emailed coupons or other offers on a regular basis. I regularly get coupons for Arby's, KFC, Quizno's, Sonic and several others. It may work the same for you.
Also, if the restaurant has a loyalty card or purchase punch card, get one of those. You won't get coupons, but you may get every 10th or 12th purchase free or earn points for dollars off on future purchases.
